Day 6: 1/10

Today, we met in the classroom and discussed how to go about interviews and making sure you can get good sound bites to use for your package. Professor Schroeder informed us that the toughest interviews we will have to perform are Law Enforcements, Crime Victims, Children and Politicians. She told us that we had to be creative in order to pull from them the sound bites that we need. Some of the tips she gave us was to get to the heart of what motivates people, become a cameleon and ask the questions in different ways.
After that, we watched some packages that Professor Schroeder did and also a couple bloopers. I thought the one where she wasn't expecting it to go to her was the most funny. Then we watched some funny clips on you tube; I love the grape one!!
Then we went on down to the station where we taped the news. I ran teleprompter, Neal and Michael anchored, Dustin did entertainment, John did sports and Davina did weather. I thought that everyone did a great job!
